ARI UP R.I.P.
Didn't know her, just her music (as frontwoman for The Slits) and her image (here's her performing in the late '70s somewhere and then last year in Central Park).
Never heard of her but just spent the last 30 minutes watching her on YouTube. What an original free spirit. In one interview she's saying she's here to put her vision and energy out to the world, whether its loved or not. I'm not sure if I would have liked a two hour concert of The Slits but their version of "I Heard it Thru The Grapevine" (on YouTube) is great.
My Word Verification is "Glukopon" which strikes me as funny.
To quote Elton John, "I would have liked to have known her"...
