In the Berkshires where it's below 10 degrees outside and the wind makes it feel like minus something but I just came back about an hour ago (around 10PM) from getting and eating a sugar cone with some cinnamon and ginger flavored SoCo freshly made ice cream. That is always my go to comfort food especially at the end of a very rough week. May you all have locally made ice cream wherever you may be.
[what the place I went to looks like on a warm Summer day]
best ice-cream ever made at that little place on
ReplyDeleteRoute 1 ... from cows' milk of cows on U of Md property.... they were an Ag school long before the Academics took over ... I think that the ice-cream shoppe is still there... the vanilla was THE BEST
I do love ice cream in any weather. Must be genetic.

Here's some more ice cream thoughts>> delicious sweet shops in Cape May for anyone wishing to venture all the way south in NJ-Bliss, Uncle Charley's, and Beaches & Creme. ( best pancakes: Uncle Bill's Pancake House-waitressed there as a teen during the carefree/barefoot summers back in the day....) Cape May miraculously missed the wrath of Sandy. My old childhood friend/ fisherman & dog Finnegan live on the water. He recognizes global warming and the potential dangers of these storms but always refuses to evacuate. Just Irish stubborn- very worrisome!!
