THREE GENERATIONS
My mother on the right, standing next to her mother (my grandma Dempsey), both behind my mother's grandmother. Happy mother's day to all.
Turns out that photography was one of the cooler things we humans ever thought up. Such a great photo, which you and yours can treasure. Any idea when and where it was taken?
Amen Willy. It would have been in Newark NJ where they all lived at the time and my mother would have been a teenager at the time so around 1920, or the few years following (she married my father in 1925) which the clothes I think verify.
You look more like your great-grandmother than you resemble the other two.
ReplyDeletenever noticed that, but you're right I think tpw...though my daughter and several nieces etc. resemble my mother quite a bit...
