In all cases to the same objects, we must simply be alert and
Find it where it has gone."

amen ...
Just read your account at Silliman's Blog, cannot imagine the identity issues involved. But if I understood you right, though straight, you proclaimed yourself gay and lost your family in order to advance justice?
Please clarify, this is a moral choice I had not come across before. I mean that as a compliment if you were truly engaged in that pursuit.
Thine in Truth and Art,
C. E. Chaffin
Too complicated to respond to in a comment box here Chaffin. I wrote about it at the time, and have written about it since in various books. IT'S NOT NOSTALGIA contains probably the most poetry and prose on that part of my life. And I'm working on an extended memoir now, already looking like several volumes, which may never see print but are giving me a lot of insights and hindsights and deep staisfaction and acceptance of my life and who (the many) I have been and am becoming.
Oh I am so jealous, dinner with Karen Allen per NYT. She appears so uncommonly wonderful.
