HMMMM...PS

So, as I'm sure you've seen, the birthers haven't given up despite the long-form certificate, and despite Obama being the one who got Bin Laden, the right is giving credit to everyone but him, Palin and many others leaving any mention of our president out when discussing Bin Laden's capture and death and instead crediting Bush Junior!

Oh, and in case you missed it, check this link out for a study done to mathematically figure out what percentage of TV pundits predictions turn out to be correct: Paul Krugman comes in first as the most correct. But the right will continue to dismiss his intellect and Nobel Prize winning economic explanations and predictions and recommendations. Too bad for us.

I seem to remember that it was Bush Jr. who had Bin Laden's family safely flown out of the U.S. in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Hmmmmm, like Altoids, curious to say the least.

My favorite finding from that study was this:

"liberals were more likely than conservatives to predict correctly".

Of course, further study would be useful to clarify the findings of this undertaking. I'd like to see a review of predictions done over a longer timeline or with targeted issues (say, predictions regarding the financial effects of stimulus money).

If I was President, and someone named Bin Laden just claimed credit for committing heinous acts of terror on our country, would I then grant members of that terrorist's family safe passage out of our country? Hmmmmmm......would I sit in a classroom after someone whispers in my ear what's happening, or would I spring to my feet, say "sorry kids, sumpnz come up, gotta go be commander in chief now."????

I hear ya Robert, and Miles, thanks for pointing out the "liberals got it right more than conservatives" finding in that study, and I agree a longer more targeted study would be even more informative and useful and revealing.
