WON'T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR
This documentary about the late Fred Rogers—"Mister Rogers" to most of us—is the antidote to the bad news we've been inundated with. I saw it tonight in a theater on the big screen and highly recommend viewing it that way, so you can see deep into Mister Rogers' eyes and feel the depth of his compassion. Bring Kleenex.
To respond to a post, just hit "comments" at the end and feel free to wail. [But no cursing people out or telling lies about them.]
On Saturday Sept 21st, I'm scheduled to read my poetry at 7:55PM for fifteen minutes at the Welcome to Boog City 13 marathon event at unnamable books, 600 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn. Tons of great poets on this event.
On Wednesday Sept 25th, at 7:30PM, I'm joining some great creative people (like John Fugelsang and Dina Regine) sharing our work at Eve Brandstein's Poetry In Motion, 143 West 29th Street, 3rd floor, in Manhattan. Tickets required.
On November 4th, from 6-8PM, I'll be reading my poetry and Nadia Owusu reading her prose at Pace University, (includes a Q&A).
