Loved Grosse Pointe Blank. And Zero Pour Conduite. Well, loved most of 'em, actually.

Then there's Withnail and I. And Touch of Evil. The Great McGinty. Children of Men. Battle of Algiers. Le Cercle Rouge.

Stop me now. I have to go back to work.

I'm not sure what the significance of this is, but here is another list, culled partly from the "1000 best films list". These are all important films. I also notice a few duplications from your list.

The African Queen
All About Eve
The Asphalt Jungle
The Big Sky
Bonnie & Clyde
The Caine Mutiny
Lawrence of Arabia
Down by Law
East of Eden
Jules et Jim
The Maltese Falcon
The Nun's Story
On the Town
On the Waterfront
Paint Your Wagon
The Philadelphia Story
The Quiet Man
The Red Shoes
Saving Private Ryan
Sunday Bloody Sunday
The Third Man
12 Angry Men

Good suggestions. One I just thought of and probably would have put for D if I'd thought of it sooner is DOGTOWN AND Z-BOYS. One of the great documentaries, and one of the only that actually documents the birth of an art form, as I and my older boy who turned me on to it see it, and as do many in the film, though others see it more as a new "sport" and style.
