[This is an analogy I've used myself and either posted it or was planning to. But Parry nails it much better than I did. It may seem with the Arlen Spector crossover and Obama's popularity that it doesn't still hold true, but just think of the assault weapons ban, or the fact that Obama wants to raise taxes to where they were under Reagan and for that the rightwing Republicans are declaring him either a facist or socialist or communist—they're not too clear about their "isms"—and in response, the Democrats are tiptoeing around these issues and more.]

Dems should pummel pubby's now Love it!
The Dems have been such pitiful battered souls as they:
-force the US government to treat Islamic terrorists as misunderstood juveniles who need a little understanding and love rather than slaps, water and caterpillars.
-Stopped cold many if not most of Bush’s judicial appointments such as Estrada and the black female judge. Normally they would have been part of an oppressed minority but since they are conservatives, they are only suspect terrorists.
-Ignore economic history of Hoover/FDR, JFK, Reagan, George W. and push huge spending and punitive tax increases (Bush tax cuts and Obama’s Cap and Tax policy) that will pass because the Dems so dominate the landscape.
-They voted for the war before they voted against.
-Were for enhanced interrogation before they realized that the politics was changing.
The only battering the poor Dems suffered was to there necks as they flipped and flopped on America’s safety and economic well being (Carter, Clinton, Frank, Dodd et, al).
It is not surprising, just disgusting to see liberals embrace the doctrine of victomology. However, it is anti American. That is the doctrine of Lenin, Castro, Chavez, Hitler, Mussolini, Wilson and even FDR in the Depression.
Can you imagine George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, and JFK embracing this defeatist and anti Constitutional American philosophy?
So much for "American Exceptionalism". Just because the US has created more wealth, freedom, charity, trade, invention etc. etc. than any society in history, according to Obama followers, we are destined for ignominy. Actually, they may have it right, if we follow the Democrat’s insane spending policies.
