nearly commented on the quote this morning, but the day swelled pretty fast [moon?] - the phrase did blow through from time to time ...
i'm finding it easier to paint than write or talk these days - especially art thoughts - in light of all that's going on - still feel cocooned after the past eight years ...
i guess what seems more real is that:
"all life is collaboration",
and that art represents, celebrates, articulates, etc. what we glean from its' more poignant revelations ...

so the quote reminded me of how interdependent we [life things] are - and how important our clarity toward circumstances surrounding us is - the truth, not the spin of opinions and the babelesue paralysis the media proliferates ...

like the seismologist in italy that said there was a strong likelihood of an earthquake a few weeks ago based on anomolies of recent seismic activity that authorities dismissed because of other preoccupations ...
[and we don't hear about that because death tolls get the bytes - like katrina]

or the lunatic fringe that says we should bomb north korea because of their 'provocative' testing of 20th century technologies which most reasonable people see as yet another desperate plea for attention from a leader whose people are starving from embargos and more recently freezing because of an unfullfilled pledge for oil from the bush administration last summer - so what's more provocative?, ignoring our pledges that insure the safety and security of millions or ...
[but we'll only hear about such a provocation in terms of the fear it creates - not the circumstances that led up to it or the consequences suffered from bravado politics]

or hearing that polls indicate americans are less tolerant of muslims today than immediately after 911 which has mostly to do with the lack of decent education and the incendiary propaganda that carelessly broad-stroked a particular faction of extreme fundamentalists [of which america has her own amid the majority of red states - except we call them right wing christian conservatives] ...

and speaking of which - the fact that entertainers and elected officials are trying to incite their constituencies to "stock-pile and arm themselves for uprise" against the changes that the democrats are bringing ...
[and who then assumes responsibility]

and that's only a few current events without the concerns for environment, basic humanity, economy, and other symptoms of ...

the fact is, this trip is collaborative - for all of us [life] - and it requires some basic principles be applied; like cooperation, honesty, willingness, - at least an attempt to transcend the self-centric ...

surprisingly, much of the rest of the world seems to be encouraged by the new shifts in leadership and attitude - except the pockets of lunacy dispersed both here and abroad ...

so thanks michael for the thought for today - made my wings twitch ...
