KOFI AWOONOR R.I.P.

You may have seen this already, but Ghanian poet Kofi Awoonor was among those murdered in the Kenyan shopping mall terrorist attack. His death isn't more important than any of the other victims, but it does resonate globally in the poetry and literary community in a way that seems to make it even more personal for some, especially his readers. May he rest in poetry.

Allahu Akbar! Will liberals excuse this one too?? The only bad religion in the world according to liberals is Christianity.

Really Jim? That's what you have to say about this post? Wow.

Peace, Jim. Pax vobiscum.

Maybe I should leave this comment up just to display why I delete the stalker. He keeps yelling about how we can never show one lie he's ever said in his comments. I spot four in just this short one, how many do you?

Let's look at the things that created the circumstances that led to why people wanted to shoot and where and why the guns were in their hands in the first place.

There are good people and bad people in all religions. Whatever religion Jim is, he is bad because he lacks the integrity to own his shortcomings and mistakes, and his behavior and utterances cause harm to others and impede betterment of our world.

Also the photograph showing the Mall with it plethora of products in part holds the answer to why things are the way they are....think and mediate on it and you may see.

Michael -
It's hard to believe that after all this time of Jim reading your blog with such persistence that some of the common sense wisdom didn't sink in.
I guess it's impossible for an elephant to be a donkey no matter how hard they try - must have something to do with their diet of fox and limp boughs ...
I think the good will of your blog remains in tact with the necessary deletions included.

Thanks Paul, and Robert.

Paul, Jim doesnt "read" the blog. He does something else which is he uses it for his emotional addiction rooted in his childhood that he has not yet outgrown or resolved. Before him at this very moment is an opportunity to do so...

Define "truth"

Robert G. Zuckerman said...

To all those, including Jim, who make these claims about our government's restricting our "freedom" to choose medical insurance and the like, puleese, give a break. We live in a crowded society where we must all coexist, and our Government is an organism absolutely essential and integral to our coexistence. Stop with the ignorant, thoughtless, hypocrisy about what has come to be known as Obamacare, but is in truth something long over due and so needed. Our medical system, while good in many ways, was essentially broken and heading toward disaster. As it was, it was corrupt and out of control. Many elderly relatives and friends worked hard all their lives, only to have their savings and security, not to mention their dignity, stripped (robbed) away from them, so that instead of living their final days in peace and dignity, they instead went through hell on earth. This is being and will further be hopefully curtailed and reversed by our President's plan, and I for one am disgusted and furious with the Repubes and Teapocrits who are undermining this process of progress with their hateful lies and misrepresentation, exemplified by that poor excuse for a representative of the people and his ridiculous, taxpayer funded 'filibuster."

Dear M: I hadn't read this news about Kofi Awoonor. What a pointless & terrible loss. It's hard for me to imagine what goes on in the minds of these terrorists, slaughtering multitudes of innocent people. As for "Jim," that sad, attention-hungry soul---as you know, I stopped reading anything he writes years ago. But his venomous presence is almost always detectable on your blog. Tom Clark's blog apparently allows him to pre-approve any comment before it goes up. Does yours not give you that option?

Good point TP, I'm so technologically handicapped I have no idea if or how. But I will ask for help from those better attuned to the technology.

It would definitely be a blessing to get the toxic one off this otherwise wonderful blog. What a creep!!!

The better question is "where is the truth with any of this?" The whole of your gibberish is a lie and your sources are all extremist right wing propaganda rags. Try getting your information from actual, objective facts and not from obvious propaganda that you tout as fact just because it is in print and has a flag or some quasi official looking logo on it. Youre so predictable and so obviously fanatical.

Wow, 16 deletions on one topic. Is this a new record? Thankfully, I missed all of his posts because Michael flushed them all quickly.
