Very cute amusing and incorrect. It is the Democrat party that is attepting to:

*limit free speech - Fairness Doctrine

*Expand govt. control and limit freedom in the private sector using socialist policies that have failed time and time again. See USSR, Cuba, Canadian Health Care, Mussolini's Italy etc.

*prevent the production of domestic energy using enviromentally clean methods (shale oil, clean coalgasijfication, methane, nuclear) resulting in a weaken US economy and national security. Instead they push ethanol which actually is more harmful to the enviroment and has caused food shortages world wide. Better to go after it all and let the market place sort it out. Governments and central planning has worked out disastorously many times in history. Instead the Democrat party pushes a reprise of wind fall profits, another failed policy of Jimma Carter, but no increase in supply.

*Appoint expanionist judges who legislate from the bench byjpasing voters and their elected representatives. They often defer to international courts and law rather than the US Constitution which is the foundation of the Republic.

Liberalism/progressiveism is a failed phylosophy that has resulted in misery and loss of freedoms many times in recent history.

WEATHER CHANNEL FOUNDER: 'I ask Al Gore, where's the global warming?'
http://www.kusi.com/weather/colemanscorner/19842304.html

If Al Gore and his global warming scare dictates the future policy of our governments, the current economic downturn could indeed become a recession, drift into a depression and our modern civilization could fall into an abyss. And it would largely be a direct result of the global warming frenzy.

My mission, in what is left of a long and exciting lifetime, is to stamp out this Global Warming silliness and let all of us get on with enjoying our lives and loving our planet, Earth.

These distortions of the facts can only be believed by those who know nothing of history.

Why don't you guys start your own blog? You could call it: Democrats and Liberals are Responsible for All the Evil things in this world and if only Republicans and Conservatives could gain Power in the three Branches of Goverment Everything would get better, ala the Great Leaps forward that Occurred after the Disaster of the Clintons to Become the bright Future and Glorious days of Fearless leader Bush Junior which has Brought us to this Beauteous current Era of Greatness and Prosperity and Peace (if you're in the oil business of course) all Hail the Neocons and Us who are Always right no Matter what the Facts and will Dismiss any Experts Scholars Nobel prize winning Scientists Genuises etc. who Dispute our and Our Experts Interpretation of Events! Or would that be a not windbaggy enough for you all.

Tim Russert seemed to be get the political discourse thing done well. He was a blue colar guy who worked with two good Democrats.(And no, I don't think that is an oxymoron). Cuomo certainly was effective as a governor and is articulate. Daniel Patrick Moignahan was the smartest guy of his generation in congress. Both were and are articulate spokesmen for their political phylosophy.I did not agree with a lot of their positions, but I respected the men. There is a lot to be said for civility and Tim Russert learned it well. He seemed to have great humor and fun with what he did.

Most important, he got something right that many men and, particuarly Irish men, have a problem with. Tim, obviously, had a great love and friendship with his father Big Rus and his son Luke. He was a model for us in his political civility and in his relationships with his family.

You keep misspelling the word philosophy. Hard to take yours no matter how you butcher the word.

caitlin, Thanks for the correction. My philosphy (is that correct? Some how it doesn't look right) is based on our founding fathers writings and upon our nation's founding documents. Do you have a problem with them. What concepts contained in the documents do you disagree with? Or what philosphic point have I made, that you disagree with and why?
