seems yesterday
is that far away
that time does fly
and not
not a minute goes by
when someone close
leaves us
so when i read this
and recall where when who
i was some time ago
i let go of all
become small
thank you for sharing this.

I'll never forget that night. We were at a Stevie Wonder concert at the Oakland Coliseum. Someone came out and whispered something in Stevie's ear and you could see right away that something was terribly wrong. He announced John's death and the whole place gave out a gasp of disbelief followed by a murmur of grief and sorrow. Stevie dedicated the remainder of the show to John.
Yeah, I miss him too.

I can only relate two events during my lifetime to exactly where I was and what I did when I got the news. Lennon's death. And the fall of the Berlin Wall.
