Mike,
This is as incredible as you described, perhaps more so. I'm sending it to everyone I know. She echoes what I am currently reading about the brain-almost to the letter-and a lecture I recently attended on healthcare, in which the doctor, a holistic pediatrician, said that the outside world, the air that surrounds us, is a soup of microbes and that out internal environment is identical. In other words, the barriers between outside and inside are an illusion, as the doctor describes when she says she could not "distinguish her arm from the wall." And all this relates to poetry, for me, or any artistic expression, because aren't we striving for the communion with our right side, the Nirvana she so eloquently describes and the one we carry around inside us?
Totally.
Super! What a speaker! What a woman! What a message! Thanks dad, Caitlin
