9/11 MEMORIAL

I lost a friend I admired and care a lot for in one of the planes.

I lost someone I knew and admired but had only a nodding acquaintance with in one of the towers.

Seven years later and there's still a hole in many hearts, including mine, where they once were,
as there still is in the ground where the towers once were (and where nearby I lived in a loft
with my two oldest kids years before when the towers were their playground).

Bin Laden is still free and still plotting. The towers have still not been replaced.

Life goes on, until it doesn't.

so sorry - still ...

didn't know anyone directly, but had friends who lost their jobs and corner offices due to corporate restructuring - thank God ...

my heart still drops with a gasp every time - no matter how many times, i see the manhattan skyline ...

so many fond memories at 'the top of the world' - and as true as the north star through some of the late night ramblings through the art scenes ...

as far as terrorists - like john stewart suggested last night [sorry to go political] - 'if mccain knows how to win wars and catch bin ladden as he claims - isn't he remiss in his responsibilities as a war hero and senator not to bring it to someones' attention immediately - and if by not doing so, isn't that by definition, aiding and abetting' - something that could at least buy most of us a stint in guantanomo bay ...

oh, and the lipschticked pig - wish obama had the $ to produce an info mercial of all the stupid and cruel things mccain has said over the years - like the reason chelsea clinton is so ugly is because janet reno is her mother - what?

i'm just sad that some, like rudy and bush, continue to memorialize with fear when there are so many noble ways to move forward ...
