My friend Sue turned me on to a PBS Frontline documentary last night that delved into how we got into the financial crisis we're in. It's well worth watching. You can go here to download the hour long show. Just click on INSIDE THE MELTDOWN on the right to see it.

I did not want to wade through it. As long as they gave credit; to Carter for iniating mortgages for people who could not aford them, Clinton for expanding it, Dodd and Frank for resisting reform efforts of Greenspan and Gerorg W to cut the leverage of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac from 100:1 and raise qualifications of borrowers, the complicity of Wall St. bankers who were encouraged by mostly Democrat politicians to seuritize the mortgages and thus expand and grow the market for risky loans, I would think it would be a fair expose.
