as to the first link - c'mon Michael, it was only a youthful indiscretion. If a Democrat/liberal/progressive did it, THEN in would be really bad, but since it's Thomas, it doesn't really count. Don't you know how these things work?

As to the second link, the ones who should be jailed are sensationalist self righteous self serving socially irresponsible hypocritical liars who use abuse their first amendment privilege with inflammatory rhetoric. Ann Coulter might luck out and have Glen Beck for a cellmate.

Robert, check out the other two I added. How can anyone not see the violence rightwing rhetoric can lead otherwise seemingly "normal" people to take?

You guys ought to live off the urban mainline and hear some local diner conversations - where most conflicts seem to end with threats, profanity, or intimidation ...
And Robert - I don't think the prison system or the national budget could sustain the influx ...
there were a lot of minds left behind - pitiful ...

The Citizen United case seems to have treated corporations and unions equally. The danger to the Republic is not more free political speech, but from speech limited by government. As to the Justice Thomas story, the New York Times is not good source for fair minded reporting. Speaking of recusal, Justice Kagen is an obvious choice when Obamacare reaches the Supreme Court, since she defended the Obamacare in court as solicitor general.

I suspect Ann Coulter was kidding, although it is pleasant to invision Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Maureen Dowd and Krugman in a joint cell.

PS Liberals seem to have little humor when they are the object of that humor. They also seem to relish restricting civil liberties that are protected in the Constitution.

All are depressing and scary, but #3, the South Dakota proposed law tops them all.

The abortion law sets up another interesting situation. Imagine that the infantacide bill that Obama fought for in Illinois, set up a situation where an infant survived the abortion act. Would it be legally and morally proper to protect that infant from the killer doctor and nurse, by using force if necessary. Whose life takes precidence; the killer medical personel or the surving baby.

Washington DC - Vietnam riots

We just had the retired FBI Agent in Charge for the Rocky Mountain Area give our Denver Kiwanis Club a talk. He spoke of his 30+ years career in tracking Mafia, civil rights murderers in the South, terrorists and the most scary for the country, according to him the Vietnam riots in the early 70's. According to him the Communists, Black Panthers and violent student groups had various violent plots against the public, that he and his fellow agents worked to counter.

Lally, His name is Robert Pence. You may have met him professionally.
