GEORGIA ON MY MIND

I found this article pretty compelling.

Compelling?

In the sense that this CIA educated product Sakashvilli is a dangerously loose cannon, yes, compelling.

He was told not to start this trouble, but did he listen, no.

Did he expect the Marines to start marching into Georgia to turn back the Russians? After their peace keepers where barraged by artillery, the Russians came to their aid. I find the actions of the Russian military fitting and proper.

Putin warned the world that recognizing Kosovo as an independent nation would start further actions of the same sort. South Ossetia declared their independence in 1992, but the world blew them off as insignificant. The Russians have been in South Ossetia since '92 and have been trying to keep the regiion peaceful until some settlement can be reached as to the status of South Ossetia.

This lunatic seems bent on starting a world war.

Now the Cold War is getting hot and the situation in Poland is close to bringing tensions to a boil.
