MY LIFE 2
When I was 10,
I thought I was "Irish,"
even though I was
born in the USA.
When I was 20,
I thought I was "Black,"
even though my skin
is pink & freckled,
my hair is straight,
and I have no
African ancestry.
When I was 30,
I thought I was "queer,"
even though I was
married and had
two children, and
most of my fantasies
& obsessions & com-
pulsions & attractions
were and had always
been (up until then)
about women.
When I was 40,
I thought I was a
"movie star," even
though the movies
were terrible, and
I was terrible in
them, and almost
no one knew them,
or who I might
have been in them.
When I was 50,
I thought I was
"enlightened," even
though I wasn't.
But of course I was
and am—enlightened,
as I was and still am
—an Irish-Black-
Queer-Movie-Star.

George Bush is a hero to many Africans for his Aids help. Obama is a dissapointment to many for his lack of commitment to Africa. Romney gives approximately 15% of his income to charity. Obama/Biden give hundreds of dollars. Lally liberals pontificate, but do they give back to their communities with dollars or time through service clubs like Kiwanis (of which I am a member)? In our Denver Kiwanis Club of Denver, we just ran a golf tournament, raising $25,000, for fellow member and friend Rev. Leon Kelly's "Youth Gang Alternatives". Google him. You can not help but impressed. What have you done?
please cite your sources for your allegations. It's great that you do good deeds, but you take the wind out of your own sails by questioning the character of those who have a different viewpoint than you. Most people who are genuinely good do their work without bragging as I'm sure is the case with most people in the blog group to whom you direct your verbage.
Oh, and it's AIDS, not Aids, have enough respect to get that right please.
