Me and my progeny several years ago. That's my oldest, my daughter Caitlin with her arms around my youngest, my son Flynn, and on my lap Caitlin's daughter, my granddaughter Elizabeth, and to my right my oldest son, Miles, with his son, my grandson Donovan, on his lap...Flynn is now almost 19 and taller than I am, Donovan 18 and my height, Elizabeth soon to be fourteen...life goes on...

MY LIFE 2
When I was 10,
I thought I was "Irish,"
even though I was
born in the USA.
When I was 20,
I thought I was "Black,"
even though my skin
is pink & freckled,
my hair is straight,
and I have no
African ancestry.
When I was 30,
I thought I was "queer,"
even though I was
married and had
two children, and
most of my fantasies
& obsessions & com-
pulsions & attractions
were and had always
been (up until then)
about women.
When I was 40,
I thought I was a
"movie star," even
though the movies
were terrible, and
I was terrible in
them, and almost
no one knew them,
or who I might
have been in them.
When I was 50,
I thought I was
"enlightened," even
though I wasn't.
But of course I was
and am—enlightened,
as I was and still am
—an Irish-Black-
Queer-Movie-Star.

Beautiful family!
Harry Northup
Lovely family photo. But one thing bothers me and is pure conjecture: who is that little girl in the background who has her back turned to your family? Maybe the black sheep of the family and will probably grow up to be a poet?
(Just joking & assume she's just a bystander.)
yeah, it was taken in Western Mass, in a butterfly and other live creature sanctuary (indoors) place....
