THEN THERE WAS THIS

I didn't feel up to making it to this on Saturday, but sure would have like to have been there, and happy that many friends were.

yeah Willy, he's been sending his comments still pretty regularly and I just delete them. They're full of the usual rightwing propaganda-machine misinformation. And yeah, these continuing demonstrations in support of the black victims of police misconduct are like a resurgence of the old Civil Rights movement. The organizers and protestors just have to be aware that those who try to turn the demonstrations into violence are agent provocateurs: undercover police or federal officers of various "security" agencies etc. or people with a different agenda than the majority taking part. Back in the day, whenever I was in a meeting with anti-war or Civil Rights leaders and someone suggested violence I'd always assume they were agents of the government or of local police or of a splinter party determined to undermine the goals of the movement.
