MY LIFE 2
When I was 10,
I thought I was "Irish,"
even though I was
born in the USA.
When I was 20,
I thought I was "Black,"
even though my skin
is pink & freckled,
my hair is straight,
and I have no
African ancestry.
When I was 30,
I thought I was "queer,"
even though I was
married and had
two children, and
most of my fantasies
& obsessions & com-
pulsions & attractions
were and had always
been (up until then)
about women.
When I was 40,
I thought I was a
"movie star," even
though the movies
were terrible, and
I was terrible in
them, and almost
no one knew them,
or who I might
have been in them.
When I was 50,
I thought I was
"enlightened," even
though I wasn't.
But of course I was
and am—enlightened,
as I was and still am
—an Irish-Black-
Queer-Movie-Star.

Always nice to know they are looking out for us. I guess we can't say they were obstuctionists - look at all the work they did....
Romneynomics and free enterprize are likely to do better than Obamnomics, which has produced the worst economic recovery results since the Great Depression.
The resident stalker/fool has completely forget about the Bush years...
Dear M: As you well know, the Repugnant Party exists primarily to benefit the corporations and the rich at the expense (literally) of the rest of us. Why anyone making less than a million $$ a year would vote for them is a mystery. Unfortunately, the Dems are not a whole lot better. There are so few progressives in American politics now & they are usually marginalized. Meanwhile, the Koch Bros & their ilk keep buying the politicians & the media with which to deceive and manipulate the American people. This situation I fear will not be cured in our lifetimes, if ever. But thanks for posting all these excellent graphics.
what I don't understand is when are the middle class republicans going to understand that its not trickling down to them. Unless they are CEO's or CFO's but then thry wouldn't be middle class.
Think of Fast and Furious as Watergate with a body count.
Except Watergate was a Nixon/Republican deliberate criminal act of breaking and entering and stealing and coverup. Fast and Furious is a Bush/Cheney/Republican created and sanctioned government program Obama in inherited. And the body count due to Nixon's reelection numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
Excuse the typos in the above response but having a little difficulty typing today (bad back and tired brain etc.) and didn't take the time to copy edit.
And by the way, Reagan and Bush/Cheney's response to their recessions was more spending, which the Democrats in Congress at the time supported because they knew that was best for the country and had always worked. Under Obama the Republicans aren't willing to help the economy because they want Obama to fail so any stimulus spending has been limited or curtailed by their obstructionism. And due to the influence of rightwing media and think tanks and gazillionaire backed propaganda many Republicans today are under the influence of revised history full of lies and misinformation convincing them that the only thing that has ever worked in economic downturns is cutting taxes for the wealthy and ending regulations on banks and financial institutions that created the crises in the first place.

THE SUPREME COURT KNOCKS DOWN THE FCC INDECENCY RULING ON BRIEF NUDITY AND PROFANITY. Now the FCC should go after real indecency - 24/7 gun violence, and making it "thinkable" and acceptable to use get and use guns, whose only true purpose is to kill.
