DAVID GITIN R.I.P.

Didn't know poet David Gitin well but the few times I was around him he, and the poems of his I liked, made it clear to me he was a good guy, and a good poet. Here's two that sum up my impression of him pretty well:

CHUCKLE

chuckle down fear

year after year

smile like a porpoise

MUSIC FOR ZEN MEDITATION

eucalyptus outside my window
sunlight plays on the floor

yesterday's papers
motes of dust

sudden green
of Betty's blouse
