The power and value of photographs. Your memories trigger mine and our memories. In '82 i was in NYC, it was a crazy time (long story) but my achievement of that time was directing and producing a public access cable tv show called "Nuclear News" in collaboration with The Physicians for Social Responsibility about the medical implications of nuclear energy and nuclear war. Arlene and Andrew Krebs also were the force behind it, as was cameraman extraorinaire John Hazard (who shot many major Clash videos). In 90 or '91 i photographed Mary Woronov in her artists loft in Koreatown - for Venice or Movieline.i loved her from Warhol and from "Eating Raoul" she had just gone through breast cancer and was more deeply beautiful than ever. At one point i was standing up on a chair and she said to me: "you should work out-you could be really buff!" See what i meani about triggering memories? Your kids look so cool. ;-)

Robert, you would have appreciated the party the shot was taken at. My then wife and I had become friends with aHollywood PR woman who was over six feet tall and kept complaining about not being able to find men who weren't intimidated or put off by her height, so we surprised her by having a party at which all the guests were six feet or more (or at least seemed that tall to us, like Mary W. , Diane was probably shorter but still tall, and Ed Begley was there et. al.)...and I remember Mary's Koreatown place well, in that enclave that was like a little Tudor village in the middle of L.A....
