A DIFFERENT TAKE ON THE ROBERTS DECISION TO SUPPORT "THE MANDATE" (FOR "OBAMACARE")

Here. [I'd like to know what my lawyer friends think of this interpretation.]

I don't know - but it does look like it might open up a lot of legal challenges to the EPA and other groups within the government - not just the Federal either. States and local governments could have regulations challenged.

He (and his cronies) could and would have reached the same result in a more narrow case where the commerce clause was under scrutiny. So we picked up the health care victory as a freebie as far as I am concerned. My main focus these days is to get the president re-elected and hope that one or more of the five conservatives on the court either die or retire.

Under Republicans Bush/Cheney millions of jobs were lost. Under Democrat Obama millions of jobs have been created. Unfortunately Bush/Cheney's job losses were so extensive even the job gains made under Obama aren't enough to offset the losses in what would have been another Great Depression if Obama's policies hadn't prevented that.
