I missed this editorial a few days ago on Truthout. But it's still worth reading.
Oh, and another bit of contrary news (contrary to the right's perspective that is):
"The Congressional Budget Office this week released its latest report on the effects of the Recovery Act and found that it 'raised the GDP, lowered unemployment, and increased the number of people with jobs." —ABC News

ALL SIDES ARE INEPT.... at best.
"that oversight on my committee cannot be cut just to make some symbolic statement, that I am going to need the resources.” of course, Issa wants to cut everything else, but not his own resources - frikkin hypocrits! They're all going to be crying this - no my committee, salary and expenses are important and needed, waaaaa! Just like old Henry Hyde, head of the Clinton persecution, his affair and family breakup when in his '40s was just a "youthful indiscretion" - judge not lest ye be judge. Fifty is the new twenty, and a trillion is the new billion, or, in Austin Powers day "one million dollars!" The stimulus is working and things are shifting. Let's not be swindled and "complacified" again like we were from '00 to '09.
Obama et al BLEW IT!
they should have investigated all them Bush ....leaches
who fucking sucked Our Blood!
on the other hand all of them Dems AND Repubs are fibbing and signifying
