NOT TO BE REDUNDANT, BUT...

...Just in case you didn't see it, or couldn't get the link to work, Miles had this link in a recent comment.

The link is to one more clear, concise, and easy to comprehend summary, of just one area where the right—and the Republican Party the right now dominates—continues to spread lies and act as if they're true.

[PS: And while we're at it, here's an example of the snide nastiness of much of the right, particularly rightwing media.]

Limbaugh---augh! He is such a piece of garbage himself. Can't wait till he gets reclycled. It remains a mystery to me why he was never prosecuted for his illegal drug using & buying.

Thanks for the link Miles. The amazing thing about the incredibly hypocritical Rush is how many people listen to him and believe him! I know a few of those unfortunates and it's heartbreaking to see them supporting politicians and policies that are totally against their best interests but Rush has convinced them otherwise.

Rush was mocking Diane Sawyer. He seemed amazed that a enviromental wacko reporter who was surrounded by all that death distruction and mayhem would rhapsodize about recycling. It is not surprising that lefties would miss the point.

By the way the poll in the article is out of date. Obama's approval rate is down to 42% with Rasmussen and 45% with Gallup. I think has the ability to hit the 30s before long.

"Rush was mocking Diane Sawyer." Well, doesn't that sum it up. News people don't mock other news people. Jon Stewart mocks Rush but we don't quote Jon Stewart as a source for information. Nuff said.

Boy, you go out for a few hours and come back to find more of the rightwinger. I left the earlier two comments on because Caitlin already responded to them. But the last one was just more of the same old so...bye bye.

Lally said...

Oh and the real give away is calling Diane Sawyer " environmental wacko reporter"...notice how he has always accused those who disagree with him and give nothing but facts to back up their disagreement name callers, even though there's been very little of that compared to his own comments, as demonstrated here. Another rightwing tactic, to get (pretend to be) all self-righteous about how "liberals" resort to name calling, after they spend much of their time name-calling.

Caitlin,
To repeat, Rush is an entertainer and an opinion person. He is not a news person.

Repeat of post deleted by Lally. I assume he was embarassed by his ineptness.

Lally's Grand Refutation of Jim McKenna's supposed lies.

1- He went back on his word to desist from commenting.
Right after the election I felt some pity for Liberals because the defeat has so overwhelming and would have been more, but for a few weak candididates. I no longer pity them.

2- Bush fighting to defeat Sharia; how could that be since Saddaam was not religious. At the time of the comment Sadaam was dead and we were fighting Al Quaida who fights for a world caliphate under shariah law.

3- Obama the Hamas candidate was called such because he was praised and seemingly endorsed bu a high Hamas official.

4- Obama the socialist was called such because he was on the Democratic Socialist Party ticket in the 90s and because of his policies of attempted nationalization and or expansion of government into the Finance, health and auto industries

Lally is 0 for 4 with his accusations. He also spouted some lame victomhood lament, as if he was the guy from the Oranges that went through hard times.

Jlm,

Your responses continue to show your distortions and lies.

1. Calling Diane Sawyer a wacko environmentalist shows your inability to accurately describe a well regarded reporter (and like my dad already said, it also shows how much you like to call people names).

2. Calling Obama a Hamas candidate (again inaccurate name calling) deliberately mischaracterizes the actual stance our nation's president takes toward a very dangerous group.

Here is a summary of how distorted that claim is:

http://articles.nydailynews.com/2008-05-13/news/17897111_1_democratic-rival-hillary-clinton-mr-obama-hamas

I can keep going down your bs list but it's a waste of my time and I don't feel like doing your homework for you.

The rightwinger is in a different time zone so he unfortunately gets to keep going after I'm asleep. I would have deleted the comments above, but will let them stay so Miles' astute response, pointing out the absurdity of the rightwinger's defense of his lies and misrepresentations, including of me, have a context. But I must admit, it's beginning to feel a little like having a stalker; I'm glad we're in two different time zones!

Dad,

Sorry to keep feeding the troll. The only effective way to deal with his total disregard for fact checking is to totally disregard him, either through deletion, or refusal to engage. I'm going to ignore him from here on out.

Hey, I'm so grateful to have you and your intelligent (and more often more reasoned responses than mine) on my side Miles. Thank you for that. I, and obviously others, feel compelled to refute his nonsense as well, so totally understandable and justified. Plus, he affords the opportunity to talk back to the rightwing that controls so much of the political dialogue today and to which we mostly can't respond (except by shouting at the TV screen or computer monitor etc.) (especially since they are nowhere near as fair minded about letting those to the left of them dominate their comments threads). But I'm going to follow your example and ignore him for now, and continue to delete him when his comments contain outright lies and/or total misrepresentations of the facts.
