WILL THEY GIVE OBAMA/BIDEN ANY CREDIT?

So the latest good news on the economic front is that there are now more manufacturing jobs than there's been since the 1990s in the USA. (And would be even more but for tens and tens of thousands going unfilled for the lack of skilled labor and/or educated workers.)

So let's see, under Bush/Cheney manufacturing jobs were lost, under Obama/Biden they have been recovered.

Under Bush/Cheney our dependence on foreign oil was around 60% compared to around 40% on domestic oil. Those figures have been reversed under Obama/Biden, we are now less reliant on foreign oil than we are on domestic.

Under Bush/Cheney we went to war in Iraq under false pretenses and by doing so, hundreds of thousands of lives were lost, including thousands from the USA, and tons of our money putting us into enormous debt and contributing to the economic collapse. Under Obama/Biden no more US lives lost and no more billions spent on an unwanted and unnecessary war.

Under Bush/Cheney promises to get Osama Bin Laden never kept, under Obama/Biden Bin Laden no more.

Under Bush/Cheney millions of jobs lost under Obama/Biden over a million recovered and more each month.

Under Bush/Cheney the greatest economic crisis since The Great Depression leading to another Great Depression. Under Obama/Biden saved from another Great Depression and economic crisis turned into recovery, slow, but steady.

Under Bush/Cheney stock market precipitous crashed, under Obama/Biden stock market back to where it was and rising, slow but steady.

Etcetera.

Are there things Obama/Biden have failed at? Let's see, has any administration, group, political party, human being, etc. ever been perfect? So yeah, the Obama administration hasn't been and isn't perfect. But it has achieved more of the goals it set out to and that voters said they wanted than most administrations and surpassed the last one, Bush/Cheney, by so much any comparison should almost evoke pity for Bush/Cheney.

So how can Obama/Biden not be reelected? By the media continuing to treat rightwing Republican lies as if they are equal to objective truth, like truth is a matter of opinion.

Every Republican candidate should be called out on their lies by every true reporter and editor and commentator and anchor person etc. That won't happen because the media like most things in our country and society are controlled by or over influenced by big money, whether corporate or private. That's what has to be fought in whatever ways, big and small, those who favor the truth can.

Unfortunately, their behaviour and outlook are not based on truth, facts or reality, but rather, on pre-judgement, otherwise known as prejudice.

Robert. It's clear that's true in many cases, but in others it's a combination of, or either/or, a simple quest to gain and maintain power (and the wealth that comes from it, and vice versa) at any cost to the rest of us, and in the case of too many a susceptibility to believing lies that are repeated and magnified through rightwing media and leadership until they seem to be "common knowledge" and not made up facts. Like Santorum and Gingrich and Romney repeating that our economic mess was and is Obama's fault and isn't getting any better, even though that isn't true. etc.

Yes, Obama was blamed from the moment, even before the moment, he took office. Thus, my reference to agenda-driven opposition, aka, pre-judice. I guaranty you that if Bush had done any of the things Obama did, - stimulus, bin Laden, stock market, health insurance - he would have been hailed as a hero by all those who have from moment one opposed and derided our President.

I wish the Democrats would wise up and keep hitting these truths over and over when they get on the air. I notice that Fox News is leaving Democrats out of their programs more often now. Maybe they are scared of reality and don't want to give their audience the real news. (What do I mean maybe?) The twisting the GOP is doing of the truth is interesting to watch - sadly too many believe the lies.

It is intolerable and must be quashed in every instance and turn. The lies and truth-twising are unaccaptable and we are at a world-changing critical juncture where we hold the future and the fate of our descendants in our hands and if we want for them a world where lying, murder and hatred are unthinkable, we must today be vigilant and fierce in elminating the acceptance of this low-being.

What a curse it must be for Michael to have to deal with this Bozo from his distant past. He has definitely become a virus on this blog, and1 I am sure many more. Every time Lally turns his back, this lame schmuck darts in and posts another of his inane and tiresome Fox News lies. Very sad.

What a curse indeed. And did you notice before I deleted it that he resorted to the oldest rightwing tactic in the book when faced with facst that contradict their lies, he claims Obama's trying to bring about a "communist" country!?! Talk about living in a bubble of lies, Obama has proven to not even be much more than a pragmatist centrist, but of course, the way the right has swung so far out Reagan, who was certainly far right at the time, would now be seen as a communist sympathizing lefty by these unbelievable deniers of any reality recognizable by reason, logic, science or historical facts.

I think Jim lives in an alternative reality. He posted the same post twice in the Hugo post. Trying to sneak in his fantasy where it won't get deleted right away.
