(not a complete list of the Oscar categories, but the first list I've made in a long time after I lost the capacity for the lists I compulsively made all day long before my brain operation, so happy to be able to do this much)

Nice to have my taste validated...my feeling was that GRAVITY got way to many awards...it deserved it for CGI ("Special Effects" etc. and maybe a few others, but not most in my opinion...

Didn't see any of them so....But for the editing and all that I never know, it's a crap shoot there to me.

One of the nice things when we lived out there was I could ask friends who had won editing and cinematography Oscars for their opinions to see if they validated mine...I'm happy that the writers got it right...

We watched Gravity the night before on OnDemand & I thought it was pretty mediocre. Thank god Sandra B didn't win for Best Actress. I also didn't think Blue Jasmine was anything to get too excited about. Cate B is a good actress, but that seemed like a not-too-challenging role to me. I was sorry American Hustle didn't get anything, but was delighted that 12 years a Slave did so well.
