I've always been proud to be a member of the AFT and associated with the AFL-CIO as well as a member of another union while working for the state. It is the middle class that drives our economy. Not the 1%. And the middle class was built by the unions. Since the war on unions began in the Reagan years the middle class has shrunk.
You hit the nail on the head Tom.
It was interesting to see that many unions, states and universities invest with Bain Capital. I wonder if the AFT and Screen Actors Guild are some of the investors.
Jim, they could be. But, without the unions they pay of most workers would be poverty pay. Wait, for many it is poverty pay already.
